Berlin-based duo ‘The Brain of Europe’ is an experimental collaboration between Merja Kokkonen (FIN) of Islaja and Jasmine Guffond (AUS). Beginning with Islaja’s Finnish interpretation of Saint Teresa’s 16th Century texts and Jasmine’s interest in creating sonic habitats for yoga classes, ‘The Brain of Europe’ is gradually developing into a sonically unique, hypnotic, potentially transcendental, structurally leaning, partially improvised, ambient music.
