Sezzo Snot
Sezzo Snot's work has emerged as a club DJ who combines social media commentary, philosophy and a strong interest in contemporary art. In her hometown of Brisbane, Sezzo curated the first QTIPOC club nights outside of the normative gay sphere. She also hosted a radio show on 4ZZZ community radio 2014-2016 showcasing underground hip hop and alternative dance music. As a DJ, Sezzo has recently performed at DARK MOFO (Hob, 2017), Vivid Sydney (2017), Liquid Architecture’s “What Would a Feminist Methodology Sound Like” at Firstdraft (Host + DJ, Syd, 2016), MCA Artbar (Syd, 2017), Art Gallery of NSW (Syd, 2017), HAM (Le1f, Syd, 2017), Monsta Gras (Syd, 2016), EVE (Syd, 2016), The Institute of Modern Art (Bris, 2014 and 2015), and GoMA Up Late (Bris, 2016). Recent sound projects were collaborations with Daniel Jenatsch in “The Unsettling” for Atlanta Eke and Ghenoa Gela at The National Exhibition (Carriageworks, Syd, 2017), and Patternist AR Game for Holly Childs (The Strelka Institute, Russia, 2017). Upcoming gigs include HAM with Makeda, Jikuroux and Chanel (Freda's, Sydney) and Melbourne Music Week “Miscellanea” (Town Hall). Sezzo and her collaborator Makeda were the recipients of the Next Wave x Liquid Architecture National Co-commission to be presented at Next Wave Festival in 2018. Sezzo Snot lives and works in Melbourne.
