Sublation is a term for describing dialectical tension (to negate as we conserve, to lift up as we destroy, to counter as we attack). Contradiction here makes sense. Can we embrace sound both in its contexts and as phenomena? Is transcendence somehow nearer when we descend into our basest drives – when we submit to the power of affect, and dance? Featuring Taiwanese and Australian performance, live electronics, noise and techno DJs, Sublate is a joint offering by Liquid Architecture and White Fungus.

Liquid Architecture and White Fungus present SUBLATE.  As part of the Entering Tone  tour Liquid Architecture and White Fungus are collaborating to hold the final event SUBLATE at Korner on December 2. The event will feature Taiwanese and Australian performance, live electronics, noise and techno DJs. Liquid Architecture and White Fungus have also collaborated to produce a new publication to accompany the tour. The publication contains articles about Hong-Kai Wang, Betty Apple, and Acid House. Tickets to SUBLATE will include a free a copy of the publication when purchased from select retailers.

流動建築白木耳聯手呈現＜SUBLATE＞

「流動建築」為澳洲規模最大的聲音藝術機構，本次將來台於台北、台中與台南三地舉辦一系列的活動。作為這場巡迴展演的壓軸活動，流動建築與白木耳將於12月2日於台北Korner合作推出＜揚昇＞。這場活動主要聚焦來自台灣與澳洲的表演，以及電子樂、噪音音樂與 techno 的現場DJ演出。

配合本次巡演，流動建築與白木耳也共同合作出版一份刊物。這份刊物的內容包括王虹凱（Wang Hong-Kai,）、鄭宜蘋（Betty Apple）與迷幻浩室（Acid House）等藝術家的文章。自特定購票處購買＜揚昇＞門票即附贈本刊物。（詳細資訊將於稍後公布）

「Sublation」一詞用於描述辯證的張力（在我們保留時加以否定、摧毀時又將之高舉、進行攻擊時也予以反擊）。自相矛盾的雙重意涵在此顯得合情入理。我們是否可以享受聲音發生的當下而又將之視為一種現象？若下探與我們最本能的慾望合一——當我們臣服於情感的力量，與跳舞之時，我們是否能更接近超越？
