The IIC Melbourne and Liquid Architecture is delighted to host a panel discussion with the critic, curator and independent researcher Leandro Pisano and with the artist Daniela d’Arielli, who will both hold a presentation.
They will be followed by performances by the composer Chiara Costanza and the sound artist, scholar and curator Philip Samartzis.
Leandro Pisano is a curator, writer and independent researcher who is interested in intersections between art, sound and technoculture. The specific area of his research deals with political ecology of rural, marginal and remote territories.
Chiara is a music composer, producer and DJ born and raised in Torino, Italy and now based in Australia.
Philip Samartzis is a sound artist using location recording to inform his compositions, which he has performed and exhibited widely. He researches in the areas of sound art, acoustic ecology and spatial sound practices, and is Associate Professor in Sound, School of Art, RMIT University.
