Yen-Ting Hsu

Yenting Hsu investigates the connection between sound, life, environment and culture. She adopts materials from field recordings to create audio documentaries, soundscapes, and sound design for dance. Her works often have deep and intimate connection with local communities, which expose the interreflection between culture, environmental sounds and personal/collective memories or emotions. The thematic project she’s researching and working on is Sound Novel project, in which she explores sound as narration and the cultural effects on the perception of sound.
