I'm interested in new kinds of spirituality that emerge from capitalism, and while i was searching new age technologies I found a twin (born on the same day as me). Ariel Garten. She is a technology entrepreneur and has several patents out on wireless technologies.. which was interesting to me because my Master's work is about 'sensing' the wireless data carrier frequencies, so she became part of my work, "Wireless Psychics: The Experiments 1-10"

Wireless Psychics: Experiment #2 - Telepathy Twins
From Wednesday 17 Jun, I will try and engage Ariel Garten in psychic tests to see if she can ‘sense’ what I am thinking. If she concedes to giving me a discount or endorsing me with her headband, I will leave these telepathic remarks through the data collection of her Muse app. On Wednesday 17 July I received the Muse headband (with a partial discount). The EEG headband connects via a patent Bluetooth carrier frequency (like Wi-Fi also 2.4Ghz) and data from the App about my ability to calm my brainwaves and when and where i use the headband is sent via Wi-Fi from my phone to her company, Interaxon.

In the 20min performance I will sit in the lotus position and operate the Muse App and the EEG headband. I find the app's aesthetics really interesting as it uses all these new capitalist ideas about brain health, stress and the audio is all Ariel's voice. First I have to calibrate my brainwaves so she asks questions like, Name as many Famous People as you can, Name as many different fruits as you can. Then comes the CALM part where I am given an image of a beach and (although asked to close my eyes) the sounds I hear are the surf and gusts of wind and I calm the waves. If my brainwaves are calm for 5 seconds a bird comes (this is actually pretty hard).
