Ellena Savage
Ellena Savage is an essayist, critic, and editor from Melbourne. She has been described as a “neurotic airhead”, and “better than Marx”.
Ellena is Editor of The Lifted Brow, writes a monthly culture column forEureka Street, and is undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing at Monash University, assisted by an Australian Postgraduate Award.
Her essays and criticism have appeared in Meanjin, Overland, The Guardian, The Australian, Junkee, Right Now, Arena, Seizure, Scum, The Australian Book Review, Readings Monthly, The Suburban Review, The Nose, Tharunka, and elsewhere, and she has lectured, spoken on panels, and read new work at Women of Letters, Melbourne Free University, Critical Animals, The National Young Writers Festival, The Emerging Writers’ Festival, Digital Writers’ Festival, Garage Blackboard Lecture Series, and Slow Canoe Readings.
