Catherine Ryan

Catherine Ryan is an artist, writer and performer from Melbourne, Australia. She began exhibiting solo gallery-based work in 2013. Catherine works in time-based media including performance, sound, video and installation. She is currently working on a series of video and performance pieces that use pop music to explore the rhythms of existence in the neoliberal era. She has exhibited at galleries and festivals in Australia and Europe, including Gertrude Contemporary, MUMA, the Royal College of Art (London), the Vienna Biennale and the Melbourne Art Fair.
