A Narrm based artist, working primarily through movement and voice, Bella Waru performs, makes, writes and facilitates as medium for resurgence//connection//activation//clearing//healing. They address their work as ritual (space//event) as a means of framing and navigating exchanges between witnesser & activator. As a performer, they have worked with artists Amrita Hepi, Victoria Hunt and Helen Grogan, and have exhibited their own work in ‘Knots: a forced marriage story’ (US documentary), 'Where We Stand' (performance ritual), ‘White Man Savage' (spoken word), ‘oneSELF’ (performance ritual). Their written work can be seen published with The Melbourne Critique and The Guardian.
